You can sleep when you're dead, right?
Around 9pm last night I put Hardin down. Around midnight last night he decided to stay down. I don't know what was up with the little super sleeper, but he wasn't having anything to do with the zzzzzs last night.
I had already told myself I wasn't going to sleep until I finished the jon-jon I started Saturday night. It's a lot harder when you are getting up every 20-30 min. I finished it up around 12:15, and I must say, it's pretty stinkin cute. I wanted a patriotic one for Memorial Day and the 4th, and wanted it to be really country so I opted for the applique instead of embroidery. I won't do that again. I don't have applique software, so I did it manually. Pain. Sad part is, I like the side with the simple H much better than the blue side with the impossibly hard lower case h. That blue side will probably never see the light of day.
I hit the ground running before the crack of dawn, making 6 dozen chocolate covered strawberries for an awards banquet. I should have never done that three years ago... now they want me to do it every year! Mom couldn't be here until about 1, so H man went to the awards banquet with me, and everyone just ate him up.
Brought the boy back here for the trade off, went to work, and started wishing I had a 5pm closing to get me out of boot camp. I walked in. Looked at the board with the outline for today. Immediately started diagnosing myself with a multitude of deadly infectious diseases that would prevent my participation. The words run one mile, 25 box jumps, 50 squats, 25 push-ups, run one mile, 25 box jumps, 50 squats, 25 push-ups, run one mile, did NOT look like anything I wanted a part of. I did it though, except the second two miles, I only did 1/2 miles. Notice I said "did" not "ran." That was enough.
Made it back here just in time for H to wake up at 7:30. Put him down at 9, and now mama's about to hit the hay. If that's how the over achievers of our society live... I don't want any part of that either. Tomorrow I'm going to work, a few minutes late as usual, and coming home to snuggle with my baby, my birthday boy and my DVR.

Wow! That's a lot of work in 24 hours. The jumper looks cute though. Love those sweet baby boy pictures!
ReplyDelete...and NO ONE will judge you for it! :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously. Pace yourself, lady. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
ReplyDeleteBut should you choose to continue at this pace, I'll take some of those strawberries the next time I see you! :-)
