She showed up at my house with monogrammed koozies for a UGA game, and a Macon accent that reminded me so much of my friend Amanda I just had to love her. Turns out, I loved her for many more reasons as well. She is just good people. We were thrilled to find out she's a keeper, and she and Jeremy will be married in July. I am heartbroken I will be missing the wedding. Jason is a groomsman, but my cousin, Sean, is getting married the same weekend in Steamboat Springs, and I couldn't miss that for anything in this world.
After being around her for a while, you start to realize that everything the girl owns is embroidered. Everything. Come to find out she worked at Macon Monogramming. This was music to an expecting mama's ears.
When she found out I was expecting, she gave me this adorable Baby Mac outfit. Jeremy, his brother Justin (Holder) and all of their golf buddies have called Jason "Mac" for as long as they have known him. For my shower, she, and her soon to be sister-in-law, another wonderful friend, Rachael, got me a beautiful embroidered seersucker bag for H, that was followed by a bigger matching bag, an adorable bunny with "Hardin" on his long ears, and the super cute monogrammed outfit we had his three month JCP pictures taken in. She also spotted a blanket at my shower that was cute, but just not complete, until Katie took it home and slapped Hardin's name across it.
While I realize our personal shopper days are limited, as one day she will have children of her own to express her love for traditional clothing and all things embroidered, H and I are LOVING being the beneficiaries of her talents right now!
Katie would always call or email if there was something cute in the store she thought I would like. That was all well and good until she got a real job. The day before her last day, this is literally a picture of my computer screen. It happened to be the week after Christmas, when the good half-off sale was going on. She took the time to photograph every item they had on sale, and email them to me from her phone. Even the boy/girl sets for Hardin and Lillian to share. That computer screen resulted in the cutest clothing ever, and the largest clothing purchase ever for H! I mean, 1/2 price clothing, AND the price includes monogramming! Get outta here! Jason picked up the bag of goodies from Jeremy today, and I just about cried when I opened it. Katie picked out all the colors & monogram styles, and I think she did an AWESOME job!
The ONLY reason in this world I ever wish Hardin would get a little older, is so he can wear some of his jon-jons and longalls. I personally think they look a little silly on kids that are too young to at least sit up, and they look much cuter kids once they are cruising.
So, sweet Katie, if we haven't told you enough, we are SOOOOO thankful for all of your time and effort to make sure Hardin is the best dressed little boy in town!
Hmmmm...looks like a need to board the monogram train before O is too old! I have a few blankets and maybe a onesie with her initials but that's all.
ReplyDeleteYou know me well enough to know that I am DYING right about now over all of those precious clothes. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!!!! What a sweet, sweet friend.
