Our lives have been narrated lately by Instagram, and most importantly, Hardin. I've been lazy in taking out the big camera, so I have been heavily relying on my iPhone to capture my boy. Most end up on Instagram because they just look so fun.
Hardin's vocabulary has developed so much in the past month it is astonishing. He constantly says words that shock me. Some because of their complexity. Some because he walks up scratching and tells me he has itchy butt.
He's also very big on size and temperature right now. Instead of identifying the white dog, he now says big white dog, or small blue flower. He will tell you everything is either hot, cold or weeerrrrmm. And he's recently added identifying dark or light to the list with the sun setting a little earlier.
We worked ALL WEEKEND in the yard, and Hardin was a huge help in the not-letting-us-forget-what-we-were-doing department. Mommy's standing in the tweees. Daddy on twactor. Hardo pickin up leaves. Mommy sweepin the floor, it's doordy. Dada's got the fire hose, it's spwayin wa-der. Hardo playin bah-ket-ball. HARDO GO INSIDE.
His little voice is still just a touch baby and I'm soaking it in while I can. I know the "kid" voice is not far in our future.

Mama 1: Fridge 0
If my non-magnetic fridge thought she was going to keep this mama down tonight she was crazy. I masking taped that first precious piece of school art right across her face :)
In other news, we are HOME. Like never ever leaving again home. Our floors took three days longer than expected, the furniture is still in the garage and they are finishing the railings tomorrow, but all three of us are sleeping in our very own beds tonight... With the windows open. (we've been back and forth a few nights, but H at moms the entire time due to the fumes)

Busy busy bees.
Man-oh-man have we been busy. Like head spinning, fighting back tears at times so exhausted, busy. That's when I know I'm truly tired, because I'm not generally a teary person. But all great things around here, so no complaints. And truth be told, my mom got back Thursday. Everything is just plain easier when she's around.
But little does she know how much we are going to drive her nuts the next few days. Long story short, we had the interior of the house painted, we love it, but now that the walls look all nice it brings attention to the floors that do not look nice. So, we're packing up and headed to Gigi's house. We'll be there Wednesday through Saturday for the hardwoods to be sanded and refinished a lot darker. Then we can really settle.
The BIG event for Hardin was starting preschool last week! He goes two days a week from 9-12:15. It's hardly even enough time to feed all 10 kids twice, but I think he's really going to love it. The little church he's going to just makes me smile, and his teachers are wonderfully patient and kind.
I can't even deal with how cute he is in that back pack prancing off to go to school. He thinks he's big time. His two year molars are also coming in, he's not happy about that.
Last but far from least my dear friend Faith lost her daddy, and my mother-in-law lost her beloved brother, Jason's uncle Lee. My heart has been so heavy for the families. I've said it before, and I truly believe that one of the worst things about losing a parent is really understanding what is happening to others. Fortunately, I finally know that peace does follow, and I pray they all get there very soon.
A good mother would never ever post the last picture, but I'm strange, and I want to remember that face. I see it so rarely that it really gets to me when I do. Out of nowhere he got very uncomfortable with our picture taking and he tried to hold back his tears, but couldn't. As soon as he flashed this look we stopped our mama torture and he was fine. I think he just got a little overwhelmed with everything going on, sweet boy. He looks how I was feeling, and his concerned little cousins are too sweet.
