Before I forget.
Tuesday before last, I asked Hardin how school was and he gave me a little finger wiggle and said Nooooooo push yer friends.
I froze. What did he do? Who did he push? Why didn't his teachers say anything to mom when she picked him up?
I asked him about it few more times before that Thursday, but all he ever said was Nooooooo push yer friends. Then run along.
The next time I dropped him off I asked Miss Jill if he was in trouble for pushing and she looked at me kind of confused. I told her the story and she quickly calmed my fears with her enthusiastic "Hardin?!?! Oh Heavens no."
She explained they had a little problem with pushing on the play ground and they spent quite a bit of time talking about appropriate behavior.
I was so relieved. Hardin is pretty soft hearted, but at this point in time I don't worry about him getting pushed around. He's not shy about standing up for himself. I'm also happy I don't have to worry about him being on the other end of that equation, for the time being at least.
He was out of school last week, but this week he's added a few more rules. Noooooo runnin in the class room. Noooooo touch yer friends face. It is everything I have to take him seriously when he's telling me his rules about school. Especially when he adds the finger wiggle.
Hardin was pleased as punch to show Tuesday's outfit for yellow day at school. Twains mommy, chugga chugga chugga chugga choooo chooo!
Nooooo touch yer friends in the face. - Hardin Pharr
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! (while laughing at the rules, according to H)
ReplyDeleteThis makes me giggle! Just like when Ali told me she told Olivia getting out of her crib was a "no no". One of the next times she went in there Olivia told her, "No no Mommy" and shook her finger at her. =) Hardin IS so sweet and was so well behaved at dinner a couple of weeks ago. You are doing a great job, mama!
